For the Cake

- 1½ cups sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee or hot water
For the Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
